I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! My day was pretty chill and I ended up working from 4-close at the restaurant. Today I work again at 4pm and this will complete my first full work week at my job. It feels good to be a functioning contributor to society again, but I will have to admit, I’m kind of exhausted. I’ll be looking forward to a few days off before I do it all over again! We could tell at the restaurant when the fireworks were over as it got really busy for the last half hour we were open. It made the time go quickly, but it took longer to close as we weren’t able to get some of the prep work done until after close.

I’m looking forward to the next week. On Tuesday I’ll no longer be on the buddy system at the sober house, so I’ll be able to leave without a buddy to go to the store, etc. Also, I can have one overnight per week, but I don’t have anything planned at this point. Also, I have a meeting with the DMV to finalize my driver’s safety plan so I can get my occupational driver’s license. These two things are really exciting as they represent additional freedoms in my life.
