Well, my first real shift at work was completed yesterday. As I thought, it was watching a lot of videos, but at least I was getting paid to do it. I have another shift today so I should get through the rest of the videos and into the actual work. I’ll let you know how it goes.

This day is my ex wife and I’s wedding anniversary. We aren’t officially divorced yet so I can say that now that I’ve been married for 25 years. Man, that is a long time! I hope the divorce will end this year, but the complications in splitting up the assets make me wonder if it will ever end! We are starting mediation at the end of August and there can be up to 6 sessions, so it has to end some day. Its challenging living on very little money when there are considerable assets frozen in the divorce. Having a job will definitely help to generate new money that doesn’t have any restrictions.

Also, today I took the required AODA assessment with the DMV to help me get my license reinstated. It sounds like I might be able to have an occupational license in a few weeks and then I can get access to my car so that’s another positive development. It’s been very challenging at times to not have a vehicle, to rely on others for rides for appointments that cannot be missed.
